We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef / Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations and assist senior chefs in food preparation. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in culinary arts, maintain high hygiene standards, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of food under the supervision of senior chefs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
Ensure proper storage and handling of food items
Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Support kitchen team during busy service hours
Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Requirements & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of cooking and kitchen operations
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
